We have had our vehicles maintained by Bob for many years now. No problem has ever stumped him; we always get fast repairs at reasonable cost. Bob works with us to keep our costs low by recommending factory parts when they are essential and other, less expensive brands when he knows the quality is good. He will never try to sell us repairs that won't be needed for several months. Recently Bob repaired the rear brakes on our Lexus but didn't try to sell us a front brake job as well, saying that could be put off a few months. Then, when I happened to mention we were going to take a long car trip, he told me to get he front brakes done before we go. Last week, I got a call from my S.O. that the radiator was blowing steam, and had an 8" crack along the top. Being new to the area I had never found a mechanic, but by a stroke of luck my S.O. and I both found Tanela's online, and called them up independently. I am incredibly happy that I found Tanela's because the service was excellent, their prices are highly competitive, and they are very nice people. My car was out of the shop the next day, with a brand new radiator and a 2 year warranty on the work that was done. Additionally, they were very honest when suggesting future maintinence, and they did their best to make the experience of having a broken down car as painless as possible. They even sent us 2 free movie passes along with a thank you note a week later.

While driving from Michigan to Bourbonnais to Schaumburg, I had unexpected problems with my engine overheating. Adding coolant allowed me to make it to the hotel, but when I went to get gas Friday night, it was clear that I couldn't drive more than a mile before my engine would overheat. I spent Friday night in the hotel trying to find a repair place that would not take advantage of an out of town woman. Tanela had excellent reviews, but I was very nervous that they wouldn't be able to fix my car on Saturday so that I could return home. From the moment I walked in at 7:50am, Tanela made me feel comfortable. They promised to call me within the hour to let me know if it was something they could fix today or not, but they would make every effort to get it done so I could get home. They even offered me a loaner car since I didn't have anyone local to come pick me up. About an hour later, they called to let me know I needed a new radiator and other items. They offered me some choices based on the mileage of my vehicle and texted me some pictures of the problem. They had to go to 3 stores to get everything I needed, but they would get it done. And the price was VERY fair. I was amazed that at 11:14 my car was finished and ready for the long ride home. I am so grateful that Tanela was able to help me so much and not take advantage of the situation I was in. I strongly recommend Tanela if you want honest, fair and compassionate auto repairs.

Over the past several years, Bob Horley has proven his reliability, honesty, and expertise regarding my 97 Honda Civic, which still runs beautifully. I never have to have a 'return visit' after service as the problem is perfectly remedied the first time. As a retired senior citizen, I really am grateful to have Bob to turn to and place full confidence in. I unhesitatingly recommend my Bob and Tanela Auto!

Also the work was priced competitively. I consider him an excellent resource for anything automotive, and fair to deal with, which is very impirtant to me. 1)Great coupons and gift cards in the mail! I receive a 25 dollar gift card and used it toward an oil change!!!The oil change old costed 10 bucks! 2) wonderful customer service! The owner "Bob" is very nice. 3)Main lobby where you wait has recently been remodeled. The waiting area consisted of internet access, flat screen t.v, and a mini fridge with bottled water, juice etc free of charge! 4) If you need to be there awhile, your near village tavern which is a high rated family restaurant within walking distance! Also 5oaks car wash is next store. 5) if you have kids, there is a bucket of candy on the desk 6) When you get the receipt, often times they will give you a little thank-you gift..such as a mini flashlight/keychain etc... The oil change needs to be made by appointment yet much cheaper than most places in the area. And once your on the mail list there is always coupons/discounts to apply to various services. The staff are down to earth, get to the target of the problem of your car and are not pushy!!!!!
